People learn new information or methods by linking them to things they already know. The MYP 5 Areas of Interaction provide a framework that students can link the things they learn to. They can help students organise their thoughts and their learning. Students can see connections between subjects. They can see connections between the things they learn at school and real-life situations like their own health, the way they can help out other people or the consequences of their behaviour and inventions on themselves and others. Seeing their learning through the Areas of Interaction makes it real and useful for the students.
